What's The Wedding Groove For 2010

With the economy still playing havoc with people's budgets, there is no doubt that corners are getting cut when it comes to the wedding.  So here are a some quick ideas:

1. Outdoor wedding - don't rent chairs, make it casual, and use blankets on the ground for your guests to sit on. No granted, you need to let your guests know that your going casual, but it sure will make it much more homey. Just make sure you accomodate your guests who physically won't be able to sit on the ground.

2. Backyard ceremonies - seems that many more people are going "home chic" and saving oodles of money by having their vows exchanged in the backyard of a family members or friends.  Just make sure you prepare for parking and permits if necessary.  Also, remember if you are having a DJ, that your neighbors will still be living next to you after the nuptials.

3. Photo booths seem to be a big thing now at weddings. To save money, create your own backdrop, buy some fabric and hang it on a simple wood frame an voila photo booth!

4. Plain and simple. Seems that everything is rolling back to simplicity including dress lengths for the bride (short cocktail dresses are in), plain with wedding cakes with just a touch of fresh flower color.

5. Nature's way - with everything becoming more eco-friendly, many couples are opting for a very simple bouquet of flowers tied with ribbons removing the cannisters and pots from the mix...so to speak
